What you should know before ordering

1. WiFi Coverage

The camera must have a reliable WiFi signal at the installation point. C520WS and C320WS can also use Ethernet, which is useful where WiFi is weak.

2. Recording Storage

These models support local microSD recording up to 512GB. The memory card is normally purchased separately. Tapo Care cloud storage is an optional subscription.

3. Power Requirements

C220, C520WS and C320WS require permanent power. C630 KIT uses a rechargeable battery and included solar panel, making it better where mains power is difficult.

4. Mobile Viewing

Use the Tapo app to view cameras remotely, receive alerts, review recordings and manage supported camera settings from your smartphone.

5. Smart Detection

Choosing a camera with person or vehicle detection can reduce unnecessary motion alerts. Detection capabilities differ by model, so choose according to the area being protected.

6. Outdoor Installation

Outdoor models are weather resistant, but correct mounting, cable protection, waterproof connections and adequate network coverage are still important for a reliable installation.
